Feeling Connected to God/Creator/Source?

When I thought about writing this blog, I thought to myself, “Great, my favorite topic.” Now as I am writing it, I realize how personal our connection to God/Creator/Source really is. My intention for you is that by the end of this article, you feel inspired to strengthen this connection. There are many ways to accomplish this. Here are a few I recommend.

First of all, you may need to heal all the times in the past that you perceived that God/Creator/Source wasn’t there for you in your time of dire need.

Secondly, so much of your connection today is based on how you were brought up religiously, spiritually, or otherwise—which would be another place to look at all the negative beliefs you concluded that are impacting you today—keeping you from your full connection to God/Creator/Source and what is truly possible for you and your life.

Thirdly, you may need to look at your worthiness—especially, if there are past behaviors you have not forgiven yourself for—or things you said or did that you believe can never be forgiven.

I like Doreen Virtue’s idea about forgiveness. She states, “Forgiveness is not what you did is ok. It simply means, I am no longer willing to carry around pain in response to your actions.” It is the same with self-forgiveness. “Forgiveness is not what I did is ok. It simply means, “I am no longer willing to carry around pain in response to my actions.”

It’s not always easy to forgive yourself, and it is necessary, so you can free yourself. Forgiveness is possible when you go down into your heart; have compassion for yourself and your humanity; feel the impact on the other person due to what you did or said; and apologize for the harm you have caused. It frees not only you, but the person involved as well.

I have come up with 3 steps to use when you need to apologize to someone which have worked quite well for me. (1) “I am sorry.” Be sincere and genuine. (2) “This is what I am going to do to make sure this doesn’t happen again to you or anyone else.” (3) “How can I make it up to you?”

This will clean the slate. Be sure that what they would like from you—to make it up—is ethical and something you are willing to do. This can be negotiated. Be gracious and generous. Thank them for the opportunity to restore the integrity in the relationship. Be sure to clean your own slate through self-forgiveness as well. Being humble and vulnerable is not always easy; however, it can be very rewarding.

When I was healing my relationship with God/Creator/Source, I did a Crown Chakra Repatterning on myself which cleared my resonance with what was holding me back from connecting more deeply. It also healed the Crown Chakra shock from my birth trauma involving forceps and from accidents involving the top of my head. I then aligned myself with the positive qualities of the Crown Chakra which really made a positive difference in my life. I also did a Meridian Repatterning so I could align with the spirit-level qualities of all twelve Meridians.

What helped me the most however, was the Metal Element Repatterning, which was specifically developed to enhance my worthiness, so I felt deserving to have a spiritual connection with God/Creator/Source. As I let go of what I was holding onto—my old way of being, old resentments, negative attitudes, etc.—I could then open the space for what I truly wanted to contribute and achieve, as well as aligning with my spiritual purpose. The power and the gift of the Metal Element is that we must empty ourselves in order to receive grace.

May you feel inspired to strengthen your connection to God/Creator/Source. With this strong connection, feel the possibilities and watch what comes your way—you will be Divinely surprised.
